La Felicina, Accademia con Albergo ®, is located in the heart of the Mugello Valley, in the historic center of San Piero a Sieve, and is approximately a 30-minute drive and 35-minute train ride (Florence-Faenza line) from Florence. The A1 Barberino di Mugello motorway exit is 20km away. It is just a 15-minute drive from both Lake Bilancino and the Barberino Outlet. The Mugello Circuit is 6 km away. The Felicina has been a destination point (Punto Tappa) along the Via degli Dei since its  beginnings and is considered the first WE Place® in Italy.

Rooms & Services
The Felicina, Academy with Hotel ®, features 10 rooms with private bathrooms (8 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 single) and a spacious common and relaxing area for its guests.

  • Breakfast (7:30-10:00) includes a wide selection of sweet and savoury items, featuring local products, croissants, homemade cakes, cold cuts, cheese, fresh bread, and eggs. Upon check-in, it is necessary to report any dietary intolerances and request any extras, such as savoury food and eggs. Personalised breakfasts are available upon request, as well as travel lunch boxes or picnic baskets.

  • Additionally, The Felicina serves as a venue for private events, business meetings, garden events, and gastronomy courses in the large professional kitchen, which is also available for private use upon reservation. Bar service is available by reservation.
    The family spirit makes La Felicina a chosen place for family gatherings and themed celebrations.

  • An info service is available for booking transfers, restaurants, beauty centers, massages, gyms and padel court, laundry and ironing services, drivers and taxis, as well as, in season, beach services at the Bahia beach establishment on Lake Bilancino. The Discovery team is also available for organising picnics, specific internal and external courses, themed stays, and events. Long Stay options are possible.

  • Bike & Motorbike friendly. The relaxing garden at the back has a Hangar area, which is venue for Academy events and exhibitions, providing shelter for motorcycles and bicycles alongside two flying machines and classic cars. Small dogs are welcome.

 

 

Accademia de La Felicina
In 2014, we founded the Accademia de la Felicina ®, whose roots lie in Positive Thinking. Our Academy goes beyond specific themes because its purpose is thought, and therefore personal growth built through the free sharing of ideas and personal experiences, i.e., the primary sources of growth. Academics are united by the desire to engage without preconceptions, to share thoughts and creative ideas in an atmosphere of ethical curiosity, which inherently generates opportunities. The Felicina is primarily a physical place, namely the eponymous Hotel, and Accademia is open to explore cultural, economic, social, and all life spheres. As well as to share traditional or innovative proposals, or even examples of personal savoir-vivre. Here we realize ideas through classic formulas such as events, exhibitions, and manifestations, as well as weekends (generic or themed), constructed in a spontaneous and, only seemingly, random way. The Accademia hosts exhibitions, conferences, strategy brainstorming sessions, rebranding meetings as well as yoga, meditation, or cooking courses, art or history.

The Felicina, Accademia con Albergo ® is named as the first WE Place® in Italy and, probably, in the world.

 

 

Felicina Discovery
Felicina Discovery is the internal free-service for information on the diverse activities in the Mugello and Tuscany area, such as cultural itineraries and museum visits, nature trails on foot, horseback, or by bicycle, as well as gastronomic experiences and guided tours. History
The Felicina has been owned by the Ducci family since the late nineteenth century and is still their residence today. Rebuilt after World War II around its Medici tower (1450), the Felicina has been an "hotel run as a home" for about 120 years and deliberately maintains a family atmosphere. The continually evolving decorations are designed by Carlo Ducci, former editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia and Casa Vogue alongside Franca Sozzani. Furniture from various periods and contemporary art complement both the works of Bruno Ducci, a skilled modeler of static ships and flying machines, and collections of various kinds, distributed also on the terrace, in the garden, and in the rooms.
